Rent-free housing for all
What is a human right, if not the right to shelter? One of the main culprits in society that locks us in needless work, is having to pay increasingly expensive rent.
Sharphill’s main objective is to take back control of housing from investors, while creating the world’s most energy efficient way of life possible.
The current idea is to build housing with a Dutch firesale rent concept, where the initial rent gets lower for each year until the loans or investments have been paid off.
Work has already started
A few years ago the founder purchased a 10-acre farm in southern Sweden. This has since been undergoing renovation and will eventually become a small prototype utopia with experimental cabins that can be rented out, while also giving feedback and insights on how to best build cheaply and sustainably.
