Worker Co-ops

Equality & Economic Justice

Worker cooperatives

A relatively unknown form of business, is the co-op. It’s a collaborative structure for a company where the workers themselves have higher levels of influence and often also equity in the business. If the company makes profit, the workers gain. This is the only way to organize and prevent capitalism from producing even more oligarchs and billionaires.

Business boilerplate

Running these co-ops on a daily basis will be up to its workers. But in order to bring new businesses into the world and create real value for society and Sharphill, we will establish boilerplate companies. They will have a business idea, funding and perhaps even customers lined up from the start. All that is missing is a small group of people to run it.

Administrative tools

Digitalization and AI enables Sharphill to create efficient and free tools for running a co-op. Accounting, invoicing or human resources. All this and more can be supplied without cost.

Federation

All the small co-ops under Sharphill’s flag will connect to a federation that supplies all the tools and support they need. This will give them flexibility and safety. In return, a fraction of their earnings gets funneled back into the Sharphill mission.
